Seogwipo’s cultural landscape spans traditional calligraphy, modern animation, and local history. This selection includes the Gidang Art Center, Korea's first municipal art museum, and the Seobok Exhibition Hall, which explores the legend of the Qin Dynasty's search for immortality. Seogwiposi Gidang Art Center

Korea’s first municipal art museum features a permanent collection of works by Byun Shi-ji. The building’s architecture is inspired by Jeju’s traditional grain storage structures, housing rotating contemporary exhibitions alongside local heritage pieces.

Seobok Exhibition Hall

Located near Jeongbang Waterfall, this hall commemorates Seobok, who was sent by Emperor Qin Shi Huang to find the elixir of youth. It details his legendary journey to Jeju and his influence on the region's history.

서귀포 예술의전당

A multi-purpose cultural facility featuring a grand theater, a small theater, and an exhibition hall. It hosts diverse performances ranging from classical music and opera to contemporary dance and local art showcases.

서귀포관광극장

Originally built in 1963, this historic venue has been transformed into an open-air cultural space. It retains its original stone walls and hosts regular weekend concerts, film screenings, and community art festivals.

아시아 CGI 애니메이션 센터

A specialized facility focused on the digital animation industry. It includes production studios, screening rooms for animated features, and exhibition areas showcasing the development of CGI technology and Korean animation.

Halla Buddhism Exhibition Hall

This museum preserves and displays Buddhist artifacts, scriptures, and statues specific to Jeju Island's religious history. The exhibits detail the evolution of Buddhist practice and art within the island's unique culture.

Soam Memorial Museum

Dedicated to the life and work of master calligrapher Hyun Jung-hwa, known as Soam. The museum includes his preserved studio and a permanent collection of his ink-wash works with views overlooking Hallasan.

WORLD SEASHELL MUSEUM。

Displays over 7,800 species of rare seashells and corals collected from around the world. The exhibits blend natural history with art, featuring intricate seashell-based sculptures and educational displays on marine biodiversity.
