Tromsø’s architectural landscape blends 19th-century wooden heritage with bold mid-century modernism. Tromsø Bridge
Cantilever road bridge opened in 1960 that spans 1,036 meters across a strait to connect an island to the mainland. This protected cultural heritage site was the first of its kind in the country and once served as Northern Europe's largest prestressed concrete bridge.
Vår Frue kirke
A wooden Catholic church consecrated in 1861. It serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Prelature of Tromsø and stands as the world's northernmost Catholic cathedral.
