Varna’s history spans over two millennia, from the world's oldest processed gold in the Archaeological Museum to the 2nd-century Roman Thermae, the largest in the Balkans. This selection includes the medieval Aladja cave monastery carved into limestone cliffs and the 19th-century Euxinograd Palace, once a royal summer residence. Military history is marked by the 1444 Battle of Varna memorial at the Vladislav Varnenchik Museum, while the Sea Garden’s Pantheon honors fallen fighters. These sites preserve the city's complex Thracian, Roman, and medieval Bulgarian heritage.
