Batken Essentials

Batken, in southwestern Kyrgyzstan, is defined by its dramatic landscapes and ancient history. This selection features the Aigul-Too mountain, home to the endemic Aigul flower, and the granite peaks of the Alay range like Pik Tandykul. Historical landmarks include the 19th-century Khudayar Khan fortress and the Hazrati Baba architectural complex. The region is also the center of Kyrgyzstan’s apricot production, centered around its local bazars, and offers access to the Karavshin Valley’s high-altitude glaciers.
