This collection features significant Neolithic and medieval sites across the Rendsburg-Eckernförde region. It highlights numerous megalithic tombs and dolmens associated with the Funnelbeaker culture, particularly the dense concentrations at Birkenmoor and Behrensbrook. The list also includes Bronze Age burial mounds and several medieval fortifications, such as the Margarethen-Schanze ringwall and the remains of motte-and-bailey castles like Burg Bori, providing a chronological overview of regional settlement and defensive history.
