A Szabadság megvilágosítja a világot, ismertebb nevén a Szabadság-szobor New York előtt, a Liberty Islanden található, a Hudson folyó torkolatánál. Az acélvázas, rézből készült szobrot Franciaország ajándékozta az Amerikai Egyesült Államok függetlenségének százéves évfordulója alkalmából. A szobrász Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi volt, a belső szerkezet mérnöki munkáit Gustave Eiffel végezte.

Pedestal access is included in the ferry ticket price. To ascend to the crown, you need to purchase a special ticket ($3) together with the ferry ticket. The Hospital tours ($40) are available only to visitors over the age of 13.
It is recommended to purchase your tickets in advance - either to book them online or by telephone.
