The Prenj massif, often called the 'Bosnian Himalayas', is a rugged limestone range near Konjic characterized by sharp peaks and high-altitude karst plateaus. This selection features the range's highest point, Zelena glava (2,103m), and the neighboring Otiš, alongside technical challenges like the Osobac via ferrata. The list includes essential alpine shelters such as Vrutak and the Adnan Krilić lodge at Bijele Vode, which serve as base points for traversing these remote glacial valleys and ridges overlooking Boračko Lake.

A

Zelena glava

The highest peak of the Prenj massif at 2,103 meters. The final ascent involves a steep, rocky ridge secured with steel cables, offering 360-degree views of the Dinaric Alps.

Otiš

A 2,097-meter peak connected to Zelena glava by a narrow saddle. It is typically climbed in conjunction with its higher neighbor and offers a clear view of the central Prenj heartland.

Osobac

A 2,024-meter limestone peak famous for its technical via ferrata. The route provides an exposed vertical climb with views over the Crno Polje valley.

Planinarski dom Senad Muhibić – Dundo ''Rapti''

Mountain hut situated at 1,160 meters on the northern slopes. It serves as a primary starting point for hikers ascending from the Konjic side toward the inner peaks.

Planinarska kuća Vrutak

A compact mountain shelter located at 1,590 meters. It sits in a high-altitude basin, providing a strategic overnight stop for the final push to the massif's highest summits.

Velika kapa

A 2,004-meter peak on the northern ridge of Prenj. It is known for its accessible hiking trail and expansive views of the Neretva River canyon.

Zubac

A sharp, tooth-like limestone formation reaching 1,897 meters. Its distinctive shape makes it one of the most photographed peaks in the range and a destination for technical climbers.

A rugged ridge and peak in the southern section of the massif, featuring steep scree slopes and characteristic karst rock formations.

Mountain Lodge Adnan Krilic

Located on the Bijele Vode plateau at 1,450 meters, this lodge is a central hub for cross-massif trekking, offering dormitory-style accommodation and a water source.

An 1,889-meter peak on the eastern edge of the range. It offers a direct vertical view down to the glacial Boračko Lake and the surrounding coniferous forests.
