Most Unmissables

Most is defined by its dramatic 20th-century transformation from a historic town to an industrial hub. The city’s centerpiece is the late Gothic Church of the Assumption, famously moved 841 meters on rails to escape coal mining. Overlooking the city, Hněvín Castle offers a lookout tower and observatory. Modern Most features extensive recreational areas built on reclaimed mining land, including Jezero Most, the Hipodrom horse racing complex, and the Matylda reservoir.
