New Hampshire Essentials

New Hampshire’s landscape is defined by the White Mountain National Forest and historic landmarks. This selection includes the 1819 State House in Concord and the Pierce Manse, the mid-19th-century home of President Franklin Pierce. Natural features range from the 4,340-foot granite summit of Mount Osceola to the glacial potholes of Rocky Gorge. Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway

Ascends to the 4,080-foot summit of Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch State Park. The observation deck offers views extending into Maine, Vermont, and Canada.

Rocky Gorge Scenic Area

Located along the Kancamagus Highway, this area features the Swift River flowing through a narrow gorge into Falls Pond. A footbridge provides views of granite formations and glacial potholes.

State Capitol

The New Hampshire State House, located in Concord at 107 North Main Street, is the state capitol building of New Hampshire.

Sabbaday Waterfall

A multi-level waterfall dropping 45 feet through a narrow, glacial-carved granite flume. It is accessible via a short gravel path off the Kancamagus Highway.

Albany Covered Bridge

Constructed in 1858, this Paddleford truss bridge spans 120 feet across the Swift River. It features a timber-framed roof and sits near the Passaconaway Historic Site.

Gunstock Recreation Area

A year-round resort offering alpine skiing, a mountain coaster, and one of the longest zipline spans in the United States. The summit overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee.
