Natural Wonders

Dhofar’s landscape transforms during the Khareef season, revealing a network of seasonal waterfalls, limestone caves, and perennial springs. This collection includes Wadi Darbat, known for its travertine curtains and seasonal lake, and the Marneef Cave at Mughsail Beach, featuring natural blowholes. The region's hydrological system is highlighted by springs like Ain Razat and Ayn Hamran, which sustain lush vegetation and provide critical freshwater sources. Wadi Darbat

Seasonal waterfall and valley featuring a series of cascades and a natural lake. During the Khareef season, the water flows over high limestone cliffs, creating travertine curtains and lush green pastures.

Marneef Cave

Limestone cave formation located at Mughsail Beach. The site is situated directly above natural blowholes, where seawater erupts through rock apertures during high tide and heavy surf.

Ain Razat

One of Dhofar's most significant perennial springs, located at the base of the Qara Mountains. It features a large natural pool, limestone caves, and landscaped gardens irrigated by traditional falaj channels.

Eyn athom

A seasonal waterfall that appears during the monsoon season. The cascade drops down a vertical cliff face surrounded by dense deciduous forest and limestone outcrops.

Ayn Umran

Natural spring located east of Salalah, known for its dense canopy of trees and diverse birdlife. The area features a small cave and serves as a vital irrigation source for local agriculture.

Wady rkhywt

A remote wadi located near the coastal village of Rakhyut. It features a brackish water lake and an estuary where the valley meets the Arabian Sea, surrounded by steep limestone cliffs.
