Seeboden
Seeboden is a lakeside town on the western end of the Millstätter See, one of Carinthia's largest and deepest lakes. A medieval castle stands at the edge of the village, and the Nock Mountains rise behind it.
The town is lively in summer, with a promenade, parks, beaches and boat trips, and calmer in other seasons. It is a good base for swimming, cycling and hiking, with Spittal an der Drau and the Gmünd valley nearby.
