Historic Sites

This collection spans centuries of regional history, from the 18th-century Yuling Tomb of Emperor Qianlong to the colonial architecture of the former Austro-Hungarian consulate. Yuling Tomb (Emperor Qianlong)

The resting place of the Qianlong Emperor, this mausoleum is part of the Eastern Qing Tombs UNESCO World Heritage site. It is noted for its elaborate underground palace and fine marble carvings of Buddhist imagery.

塘沽协定签署旧址

This site marks the location where the 1933 ceasefire was signed between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan, establishing a demilitarized zone in North China prior to the Second Sino-Japanese War.

平津战役天津前线指挥部旧址陈列馆

The former headquarters used by the People's Liberation Army to coordinate the capture of Tianjin in 1949. The museum displays original telegraph equipment, military maps, and documents from the Pingjin Campaign.

天津一二九抗日救亡运动纪念馆

A memorial hall documenting the 1935 student protests against Japanese encroachment. It features historical photographs and artifacts related to the patriotic salvation movement in Tianjin.

双垒炮台

A historic coastal fortification that formed part of the regional defense system. These batteries were strategically positioned to guard the approaches to the Haihe River during the late 19th century.

石经幢

An ancient Buddhist stone pillar carved with sacred Dharani sutras. These monuments were traditionally erected in temples or at crossroads to provide spiritual protection and represent significant examples of early religious stonework.
