Natural Wonders of Taupō

The Taupō region is defined by its volcanic history, centered around the massive caldera of Lake Taupō. This list highlights the diverse geological features of the central North Island, from the active vents and acidic crater lakes of Tongariro National Park to the secluded waterfalls of the Western Bays.
