Zhongdianxian Essentials

Zhongdianxian, officially known as Shangri-La, serves as a gateway to the Tibetan Plateau. This collection features the Ganden Sumtseling Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist complex in Yunnan, and the dramatic Tiger Leaping Gorge on the Jinsha River. Natural highlights include the travertine limestone terraces of Baishuitai, the high-altitude ecosystem of Shudu Lake within Pudacuo National Park, and the 5,396-meter peak of Haba Snow Mountain. The region's diverse landscape ranges from the deep canyons of Balagezong to the seasonal wetlands of Napa Lake.
