Abkhazia’s landscape is defined by the dramatic intersection of the Greater Caucasus Mountains and the Black Sea. This region hosts geological extremes, including Krubera Cave, the world’s second-deepest, and the 18-meter-long Reprua River, one of the shortest on Earth. The interior features high-altitude glacial lakes like Little Ritsa and dramatic karst formations.
