Adrar Essentials

Adrar is a remote region of the Mauritanian Sahara characterized by dramatic geological formations and historic caravan stops. It features the Richat Structure, a 40-kilometer wide circular formation visible from space, and Ben Amera, the continent's largest monolith. The region is home to Chinguetti, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dry-stone architecture and ancient Islamic libraries.
