Berdorf Essentials

Berdorf serves as the gateway to the Mullerthal Region's most dramatic sandstone landscapes. This selection features the Hohllay and Raiberhiel caves, carved by both nature and historical millstone extraction, alongside the Priedegtstull and Perekop viewpoints. The 55-meter Aquatower offers an educational perspective on local geology, while the Wanterbaach cliffs provide the region's premier sandstone climbing. A

Hohllay Cave

A man-made cavern created by centuries of millstone extraction. Circular traces of the harvested stones remain visible in the sandstone ceilings and walls.

Aquatower Berdorf

A 55-meter-high tower featuring an interactive exhibition about drinking water and geology. An observation deck provides 360-degree views of the surrounding Mullerthal region.

Priedegtstull

A prominent sandstone formation resembling a pulpit. It is accessible via bridges and steps, offering views over the valley toward Grundhof.
