Holy Trinity Church

Church of Theodore Tyro and Theodore Stratilates

Built in 1614, this small stone church is a UNESCO tentative site famous for its remarkably preserved 17th-century frescoes. It is best known for a unique depiction of the Transfiguration.

Curilovski manastir Sveti Georgi

A 19th-century monastery known for its extensive external frescoes depicting the 'ordeals of the soul.' It served as a significant educational and spiritual center during the Bulgarian National Revival.

Hadzhidimovo monastery St. George

Established in 1864 on the ruins of a medieval complex, this monastery features a large three-aisled basilica. It remains one of the largest and most active pilgrimage sites in the Mesta River valley.

St. Petka Church

Completed in 1994 near the home of the clairvoyant Baba Vanga, this contemporary church features non-traditional architecture and striking, modern frescoes by the renowned Bulgarian artist Svetlin Rusev.
