Braga's Parks and Gardens

Braga’s green spaces range from manicured 18th-century Baroque designs to expansive urban parks. The Jardim de Santa Bárbara sits against the medieval walls of the Episcopal Palace, while the Jardim do Palácio dos Biscainhos offers a preserved look at an aristocratic garden with historic camellias. Central hubs like Jardim da Avenida Central and Praça Mouzinho de Albuquerque provide shaded promenades near the city’s historic core. For larger recreation areas, Parque da Ponte features a lake and the traditional Chapel of São João.
