Cultural Heritage

This collection highlights the historical and spiritual landmarks of Gangnam-gu, centered on the UNESCO-listed Joseon royal tombs. The Seonjeongneung site contains the burial mounds of King Seongjong and King Jungjong, while the Heonilleung complex houses King Taejong and King Sunjo. The ancient Bongeunsa Temple, established in 794, showcases traditional Buddhist architecture. Modern culture is represented by the bronze "Gangnam Style" monument, commemorating the global impact of the K-pop phenomenon in its namesake district.
