Majestic Peaks & Cliffs

Glacier National Park’s landscape is defined by dramatic geological formations shaped by ancient glaciation. This collection features prominent summits like Chief Mountain, a site of spiritual significance to the Blackfeet Nation, and Triple Divide Peak, the hydrologic apex where water flows toward the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic oceans. From the sharp arête of The Garden Wall to the remote, high-altitude summits of Kintla and Rainbow Peaks in the Livingston Range, these landmarks showcase the park's rugged sedimentary rock layers and sheer vertical cliffs.
