Historic Religious Sites

This collection highlights Poreč’s notable religious sites, from the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica with its 6th-century Byzantine mosaics and early Christian architectural complex to a range of Roman Catholic parish churches and chapels. It also includes a former Franciscan church and monastery converted to the Istrian Assembly Hall and contemporary worship spaces, illustrating the town’s religious and architectural development from late antiquity through later local parish traditions.
