Dolmens of Gorafe

The Megalithic Park of Gorafe contains one of Europe's largest concentrations of Neolithic burial monuments, with over 240 dolmens spread across the dramatic badlands of the Guadix-Baza basin. These structures date back approximately 5,000 years to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. The park is organized into several signposted routes, including Hoyas del Conquín and Llano de Olivares, showcasing diverse megalithic architecture within a striking desert landscape.

Dolmen Gorafe 110

Located in the Hoyas del Conquín section, this is one of the largest and best-preserved dolmens in the park. It features a large polygonal burial chamber and a distinct entrance corridor constructed from limestone slabs.

Dolmen Gorafe 65

A megalithic tomb situated in the Llano de Olivares area. This sector is characterized by a high density of monuments positioned along the plateau edges overlooking the Gor River canyon.

Dolmen Gorafe 134

Part of the Hoyas del Conquín archaeological group, this Neolithic burial structure is positioned along the plateau rim, representing the typical funerary architecture found throughout the Gorafe basin.

Dolmen Gorafe 113

A prehistoric stone tomb located within the Hoyas del Conquín route. It demonstrates the characteristic megalithic construction techniques used by Neolithic communities in southern Iberia during the 3rd millennium BCE.

Dolmen Gorafe 012

Located in the Majadillas section, this dolmen is part of a cluster of tombs positioned on a high ridge. It serves as a significant example of territorial marking through funerary monuments.
