Scenic Nature Wonders

Eastern Taiwan’s landscape features high-altitude alpine lakes and dramatic coastal formations. Jiaming Lake, known as the 'Angel's Tear,' sits at 3,310 meters within the Central Mountain Range. Along the coast, the Qingshui Cliffs rise over 1,000 meters directly from the Pacific Ocean. The region also hosts significant cascades like the 120-meter Luoshan Waterfall and the 240-meter Xingang Waterfall, the highest in the Coast Mountain Range.

Jiaming Lake

The Chiaming Lake is a lake in Haiduan Township, Taitung County, Taiwan. It is the second highest lake area in Taiwan.

Qing shui duan ya

Massive coastal cliffs stretching 21 kilometers between Heping and Chongde. They rise nearly vertically from the sea, reaching heights over 1,000 meters, and consist primarily of marble and gneiss.

Nan an pu bu

A 50-meter-tall waterfall located at the eastern entrance of Yushan National Park. The falls drop into a clear pool accessible via a short, flat path from the highway near the Nanan Visitor Center.

Xin gang pu bu

Also known as Rainbow Waterfall, this 240-meter cascade is located on the eastern slopes of the Coastal Mountain Range. It is one of the highest waterfalls in eastern Taiwan, frequently creating rainbows in its morning mist.

Shan feng pu bu

Situated along the first section of the Walami Trail. The waterfall is viewed from a suspension bridge dating back to the Japanese colonial period, offering views of the water plunging into the Lakulaku River valley.

Luo shan pu bu

A 120-meter tiered waterfall located within the Luoshan Organic Village. It is a prominent feature of the local fault line geology and is situated near rare mud volcanoes.

Chong de hai tan

A pebble beach located at the southern base of the Qingshui Cliffs. It is a primary launch point for sea kayaking and provides a sea-level perspective of the massive marble cliffs.

Qi cai hu

An alpine lake located at 2,980 meters in the Central Mountain Range. Known for its varying colors under sunlight, it is a significant site for local indigenous Bunun culture.

Ji li tan

A renovated irrigation pond in Guangfu Township surrounded by walking trails and stone bridges. Historically, it served as a timber soaking pond for the regional forestry industry.

Beach

A secluded coastal area within Taroko National Park featuring sea caves and large marble boulders. The beach is composed of smooth grey pebbles washed down from the surrounding mountains.
