Zoos & Wildlife Parks
Hungary's zoological gardens range from the sprawling Sóstó Zoo in Nyíregyháza, known for its modern architectural enclosures, to the specialized Kápolnapuszta Buffalo Reserve. Visitors can explore a tropical rainforest and shark tunnel at Budapest's Tropicarium, or see regional species at the Budakeszi Wildlife Park. Historic institutions like the Miskolc and Veszprém zoos offer diverse collections, while the Szeged Zoo focuses on rare South American species and the Pécs Zoo provides unique views from the Mecsek Mountains.
