Parks and Gardens
Ischia's volcanic soil supports a diverse range of flora, showcased in world-class botanical sites and public pine forests. La Mortella, created by Susana Walton, features Mediterranean and tropical species across terraced gardens. Giardini Ravino focuses on succulents and cacti, housing one of Europe's largest collections. The island also offers several "pinete" (pine forests) like Pineta Mirtina and Pineta degli Atleti, which provide shaded walking paths and historical landmarks, such as ancient springs, within Ischia Porto and Lacco Ameno.
