Climbing and Peaks

Joshua Tree National Park is defined by its massive monzogranite formations and high-elevation vistas. Arch Rock

A 30-foot-wide natural granite bridge formed by erosion. It is accessible via a 0.5-mile interpretive trail near the White Tank Campground.

Jumbo Rocks

An extensive area of massive monzogranite boulder piles. It serves as a central hub for bouldering and is the location of the park's largest campground.

Cap Rock

Distinctive formation featuring a large granite slab balanced on a vertical pillar. It includes a 0.4-mile nature trail and is the historical site associated with musician Gram Parsons.
