Jostedalsbreen Essentials

Jostedalsbreen is the largest glacier in continental Europe, covering nearly 500 square kilometers in Western Norway. This selection highlights its most accessible and geologically significant arms, including the famous Briksdalsbreen and the calving front of Austdalsbreen at Styggevatnet lake. The list features diverse glacial topography, from the steep ice falls of Bøyabreen and Austerdalsbreen to Lodalskåpa, the ice field's highest nunatak standing at 2,083 meters.
