Castles and Ruins

This collection spans the Karavanks and Pohorje regions, featuring medieval fortifications and Baroque residences across Slovenia and Carinthia. It includes the seat of the powerful Counts of Celje, the well-preserved Velenje Castle, and the atmospheric ruins of Finkenstein and Federaun. These sites illustrate the region's defensive history, ranging from hilltop ruins like Kamen and Konjice to the regional museum housed within the Baroque Maribor Castle.
