Historical Landmarks of Medina

Medina’s historical landscape spans from early Islamic military history to Ottoman-era engineering. This collection features the site of the Battle of Uhud (625 AD) and the Hejaz Railway Museum, housed in the restored 1908 station building. Battle of Uhud

The Battle of Uhud was fought on Saturday, 23 March 625 AD, in the valley north of Mount Uhud.

This exhibition provides a detailed biographical overview of the Prophet Muhammad’s life, featuring models of the city during the 7th century and historical maps of the region.
