Mýrdalshreppur's Absolute Essentials

Mýrdalshreppur features some of Iceland’s most recognizable coastal and geological landmarks. This region is home to the black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its basalt columns, the Dyrhólaey promontory, and the active Katla volcano buried beneath the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap.
