Negombo Essentials

Negombo, historically known as 'Little Rome,' showcases a blend of colonial architecture and deep-rooted maritime traditions. This collection features the 17th-century Dutch Fort and the Gothic-inspired St. Sebastian’s Church. The city's spiritual landscape includes the Angurukaramulla Temple, noted for its massive reclining Buddha and detailed murals. At the edge of the lagoon, the Lellama fish market remains a central hub for the local trade of fresh seafood brought in by traditional outrigger canoes.

Angurukaramulla Temple

Negombo Fish Market
