Niš showcases a diverse religious heritage reflecting its complex history under Ottoman and Serbian rule. The collection features the monumental Holy Trinity Cathedral, the seat of the Niš Eparchy, and the 16th-century Bali-bey Mosque located within the Niš Fortress. Visitors can explore the city's religious pluralism through the 19th-century Islam-aga Mosque, the only active mosque in the city, and the Roman Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, alongside various Orthodox churches built upon medieval foundations.
