Northern Ireland’s museums span centuries of history, from the 12th-century Norman architecture of Carrickfergus Castle to the maritime legacy of the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship. The 18th-century Armagh Robinson Library houses rare collections, while the Museum of Free Derry documents the civil rights movement. The Ulster Museum offers extensive natural science and art exhibits, and the Ulster American Folk Park recreates the emigration experience through reconstructed rural dwellings and a replica sailing ship.
