Bird Island Overlook
Scenic viewpoint overlooking a limestone islet and marine sanctuary. The area is a nesting ground for brown boobies and a habitat for green sea turtles.
Suicide Cliff
Historic 800-foot limestone cliff on Mount Marpi. It features memorials dedicated to the Japanese soldiers and civilians who jumped from the precipice during the 1944 Battle of Saipan.
I Chenchon Bird Sanctuary
Coastal forest on Rota’s eastern shore. It provides a protected habitat for red-footed boobies, brown boobies, and great frigatebirds nesting in the cliffside trees.
Taipingot
A 143-meter flat-topped peak on Rota, commonly referred to as Wedding Cake Mountain due to its distinct layered profile.
Sugar King Park
Commemorates Haruji Matsue and the Japanese-era sugar industry. The grounds contain a statue of Matsue, a historic steam locomotive, and the remains of a Shinto shrine.
