Ouarzazate Essentials

Ouarzazate serves as Morocco's cinematic center, home to some of the world's largest production facilities. This collection highlights the city's dual identity: its history as a caravan crossroads and its role in global filmmaking. Key sites include the 18th-century Taourirt Kasbah, the expansive Atlas Film Studio, and CLA Studios, which houses the Jerusalem set from Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven. The Musée du Cinéma displays vintage production equipment, while the nearby Fint Oasis provides a viewpoint over a traditional palm grove and river-fed desert ecosystem.
