Paros features a dense network of religious sites, ranging from the monumental 4th-century Panagia Ekatontapyliani in Parikia to remote hilltop monasteries like Agios Antonios. These sites showcase traditional Cycladic architecture, including white-washed stone, blue domes, and Parian marble bell towers. Many monasteries, such as Agios Ioannis Detis and Agii Anargyri, provide historical insight into the island's Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods while occupying strategic coastal and mountainous positions.
