Pieniny Huts and Nature

This selection features mountain shelters and scenic meadows throughout the Pieniny Mountains. It includes historic PTTK huts like Orlica and Trzy Korony, which serve as base camps for the Dunajec River Gorge and central peaks. High-altitude clearings like Polana pod Wysoką and Połonina Kiczera provide views across the Małe Pieniny range, while the Aksamitka reserve and Homole Gorge area protect unique geological formations and alpine flora.

Polana pod Wysoką

Mountain clearing on the northern slopes of Wysoka, the highest peak in the Pieniny, located directly above the Homole Gorge nature reserve.

Połonina Kiczera

Large alpine meadow on the northern slopes of the Małe Pieniny ridge, situated between the Borsuczyny and Wysoka peaks.

Dubantowska Polana

Small valley of the Kamionka stream situated at 640 meters elevation, located just above the Homole Gorge.
