Muzzerone Climbing Spots

Muzzerone's white limestone cliffs rise 200 meters above the Ligurian Sea, offering world-class sport climbing within the Porto Venere Regional Natural Park. These sectors feature a mix of technical slabs, steep overhangs, and multi-pitch routes. Climbers can find diverse challenges ranging from the 200-meter vertical faces of Parete Striata to the athletic overhangs of Cajenna. The area is renowned for its high-friction rock and panoramic views of the Gulf of Poets and Palmaria Island.

Main climbing area featuring numerous sectors with diverse difficulty levels on compact limestone overlooking the sea.

Parete Striata

The largest cliff in the area, offering multi-pitch routes up to 200 meters long on vertically striped limestone.

Parete delle Meraviglie

Known for its technical vertical climbing on exceptionally compact and sharp limestone.

Cajenna

A steep, overhanging sector requiring physical strength, located directly above the sea.

Solarium

South-facing sector with excellent sun exposure, making it a preferred location for winter climbing.

Atlantide Bassa

Lower section of the Atlantide wall featuring technical slabs and routes accessible near sea level.

Located at a higher elevation near the fortress, providing cooler temperatures and technical vertical routes.
