Historical Monuments of Rabat

Rabat’s historical landscape is defined by its Almohad heritage and royal significance. The 12th-century Hassan Tower and the adjacent Mausoleum of Mohammed V showcase distinct eras of Moroccan craftsmanship. The Chellah necropolis preserves Roman and medieval Islamic ruins, while the Royal Palace of Dar Al Makhzen serves as the primary residence of the king.
