Ribadeo Essentials

Ribadeo’s coastline is defined by the dramatic rock arches of As Catedrais Beach and the Illa Pancha lighthouse guarding the estuary. The town’s history is preserved in the 18th-century Forte de San Damián and the neoclassical Pazo de Ibáñez, which now serves as the City Hall. Visitors can explore the historic center’s stone-arcaded streets, known as Soportais, and the Cargadeiro do Ferro, a former industrial iron-loading site repurposed as a scenic viewpoint over the Eo estuary.

As Catedrais Beach

Praia das Catedrais is on the northwest coast of Spain. It is the name given by the tourism industry to Praia de Augas Santas.

A scenic viewpoint located on the site of a former early 20th-century iron ore loading pier, offering panoramic views of the Ribadeo estuary.
