Religious Heritage
Sarajevo’s religious landscape earned it the title of 'European Jerusalem,' where mosques, cathedrals, and synagogues stand within steps of each other. This collection features the 16th-century Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the neo-Gothic Sacred Heart Cathedral, and the Ashkenazi Synagogue on the Miljacka riverbank. These sites represent Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and Sephardic influences, showcasing the city's centuries-old coexistence of Islam, Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, and Judaism through diverse architectural styles ranging from classical Islamic to Neo-Byzantine.

Careva džamija
