Scuol Essentials

Scuol serves as the cultural heart of the Lower Engadin, defined by its well-preserved Romanesque heritage and mineral-rich springs. This collection features the 11th-century Tarasp Castle overlooking its eponymous lake and the thermal waters of Bogn Engiadina. The list includes the sgraffito-adorned village of Guarda, inspiration for the Schellenursli story, and the ruins of Steinsberg Castle in Ardez. From the Gothic architecture of Baselgia refurmada to the prominent peak of Piz Buin, these sites showcase the region's unique blend of alpine nature and historic architecture.
