Parks & Gardens of Seville

Seville's green spaces range from the expansive 1929 Hispano-American Exhibition grounds at Maria Luisa Park to the historic royal gardens of the Alcázar. These sites showcase diverse architectural styles, including Gothic-Mudéjar at Duenas Palace and Neo-Almohad designs at Jardines de la Buhaira. Visitors can explore 47 hectares of Mediterranean flora at Alamillo Park or admire the 18th-century Romantic sculptures in the Jardines de las Delicias. Many locations, such as the Jardines de Murillo, feature traditional Andalusian tilework and shaded walkways along historic city walls.

Maria Luisa Park

Historic urban park featuring gardens, fountains, and notable early 20th-century architecture. It is designated as a National Monument and includes cultural landmarks from the 1929 Hispano-American Exhibition.

Gardens of the Royal Alcázar

Duenas Palace

Jardines de Murillo

Located adjacent to the walls of the Royal Alcázar, these gardens feature tiled benches, ceramic fountains, and a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus. They were designed in the early 20th century by architect Juan Talavera y Heredia.

Alamillo Park

A huge park with 47 hectares of varied Mediterranean vegetation and two lakes.

Parque Jardines De La Buhaira

Landscaped area featuring the ruins of a 12th-century Almohad palace and its original irrigation pool. The park includes Neo-Almohad architectural elements, olive trees, and rows of orange trees.

Jardin de las Delicias

An 18th-century Romantic garden featuring a collection of Rococo marble sculptures and exotic plant species. It was the first botanical garden in Seville and serves as a link between the river and Maria Luisa Park.
