Shete Boka National Park Essentials

Shete Boka National Park covers over 10 kilometers of Curaçao's rugged north coast, featuring several 'bokas' or inlets carved into limestone cliffs. The area is defined by volcanic rock formations, natural bridges, and deep sea caves. Key sites include the thunderous water displays at Boka Pistol and the cavern at Boca Tabla. The park also serves as a critical nesting ground for three species of sea turtles along its secluded beaches.

Boca Tabla

Boka Pistol

A narrow inlet where the sea is forced into a small opening, creating a thunderous sound and an explosive vertical spray of water that can reach several meters high.

Natural Bridge

A geological formation where continuous wave action has eroded the limestone cliffside to create a natural stone arch over the Caribbean Sea.

Shete Boka

A protected area established in 1994, encompassing 10 kilometers of Curaçao’s northern coastline. It protects volcanic landscapes, limestone cliffs, and important sea turtle nesting beaches.
