Hiking and Climbing

This collection features the highest summits of the Dalmatian coast and islands, including Sveti Jure (1762m) in the Biokovo massif and Vidova gora on Brač. It covers established mountain huts on Mount Mosor and Kozjak, alongside technical via ferrata routes in Omiš and Podstrana. Hikers can reach historic 15th-century chapels atop island peaks, while climbers can access limestone crags and vertical paths leading to medieval fortresses.

Vidova gora

Vidova gora is the highest peak on the Croatian island of Brač, and also the highest peak on all Adriatic islands.

Sveti Jure

The highest peak of the Biokovo massif at 1,762 meters, featuring a television transmitter and the Chapel of St. George. It offers panoramic views of the Biokovo Skywalk and the Adriatic islands.

Planinarski dom Umberto Girometta

A traditional stone mountain hut situated at 868 meters on Mount Mosor. It serves as a primary base for hikers exploring the massif's central ridge and karst landscape.

Planinarski dom Malačka

Located on the western part of Mount Kozjak at 466 meters, this hut overlooks Kaštela Bay and Split. It is accessible by road and marks the start of several ridge trails.

Sveti Nikola

The highest summit on Hvar island at 628 meters. A 15th-century stone chapel stands at the peak, overlooking the steep vineyards of Sveta Nedjelja and the southern Adriatic.

Ferrata Perunika

A technical via ferrata route on Perun hill above Podstrana. It traverses limestone cliffs with a difficulty rating of B/C, offering views of the coastline and the city of Split.

Via ferrata "Fortica"

A secured climbing path in Omiš that ascends the rocky cliffs toward the 15th-century Starigrad Fortress (Fortica), featuring vertical sections with metal rungs and cables.

Babjaca
