Sacred Sites of Spiritual Heritage

This collection features the diverse religious architecture of the Transnistria region and its surroundings. It highlights the Russian Orthodox influence through the 19th-century Transfiguration Cathedral in Bender and the All Saints Cathedral in Dubăsari. The list also preserves the memory of the area’s multi-ethnic past, including the Chabad-Lubavitch synagogue in Bender, serving a community dating back to 1769, and the ruins of the German Catholic Holy Trinity Cathedral in Lymanske.
