Regional Heritage Sites

This collection highlights historical and archaeological landmarks around Umeå, ranging from industrial heritage to ancient survival sites. It includes the 12,000-square-meter Tullmagasinet brick warehouse on the Ume River and the Dunkers monument, which commemorates the 1809 Battle of Hörnefors. Visitors can also explore traces of regional industry, such as charcoal kilns and quarrying surfaces, alongside Stone Age archaeological sites and traditional hunting trap pits that reveal the area's long history of human activity and resource extraction.
