Caves & Karst Viewpoints

This collection highlights the geological diversity of Vientiane Province, focusing on the limestone karst formations surrounding Vang Vieng and the northern highlands. It includes Tham Chang Cave, which served as a 19th-century refuge during the Haw wars, and Num Bor Keo Cave. Tham Chang Cave

Historically served as a bunker during the 19th-century Haw invasions. The cave features crystalline stalactites and a natural spring at its base that flows into the Nam Song River.

Num Bor Keo Cave

A limestone cave system featuring natural rock galleries and a quiet environment located west of the Vang Vieng town center.
