Lakes and Waterfalls

This collection showcases the most significant glacial water bodies in the High Tatras, spanning both the Slovak and Polish sides. The selection includes Slovakia's deepest and largest tarn, Veľké Hincovo pleso, which reaches a depth of 53 meters, alongside the highly accessible Štrbské pleso. On the Polish side, the list features the high-altitude Gąsienicowe ponds and the dramatic Czarny Staw pod Rysami. Visitors can observe diverse alpine hydrological features, from the 25-meter-high Skok waterfall to the secluded 'Lakes of Love' near the Mlynica stream.
